The Loss Statue At Pekauman

Long time ago, in the ancient was begun the stone age at Pekauman Bondowoso, East Java. Marvelous think in people who worship the creator by Mount Raung, indeed.

But now is different. The people has been changed their religion. So, The all Culture has happened in stone age no longer applies. On the other hand, in near stone area, The people keep their respect and trusting. Like Offerings the coins, wraped the stone by white cloth then make petitions and prayer.

That’s stone named “Betoh Nyai”, Betoh (batu) = “stone” , Nyei (nyai) = “Gammer”. On article of infobondowoso.net, the interpreters maintained of Pekauman sites Amsari said, “Nyei statue was 4500 years old ”. That’s statue founded couple with “Betoh Jei” or Man Statue who founded later, around 2010 ago.

A little know at people about “Betoh  Jei”, the People alwasy ask to everybody. Where the Betoh Jei was Placed. The people think is Batu Jei was disappeared or has stolen. But all of them opinions is wrong, Batoh  Jei not loss.

The Conservation center “Balai Pelestarian Cagar Budaya Trowulan Mojokerto, Jawa Timur”, said.
