A little piece to understand about the literacy of the manuscript which is on java and madhura's ancient language. It is hard to think be knowing, one of them is how to read it. That's not just to be reading but another method from the author which also imitated.
My interpretation is like the condition today is not like the past time. I told is about Kakawin, the ancient manuscript that must be readen by the procedural so this becomes a poem, then we have known that the technique is not as reading the newspaper.
Meanwhile, maybe this reason makes an error when interpreting the manuscript. Such as, missing the contents of the words, connecting phrase to phrase, and connecting the mind to the soul to find the implicit meaning.
Kakawin, usually the way to translate it is not from text to text.. but from the text to voice, the scripted text is sung or sung directly, and the meaning of the translation will be understood by singing it, along with the strains of gamelan
For example, if you look at the written text "you", it will have a different meaning when you say "you.." in a voice moaning in pain.. or similarly, in a voice that is in love.. the way of translating this must be by means of singing.
The way to translate it will be easy if you sing it, because the purpose of writing it is to sing it.
